Do I need to try a different flashing tool or firmware? What could be causing the problem? I tried the disc in my Series X and was able to finish watching the film so I think the disc is fine. Tried a combination of VLC/Kodi and MakeMKV/AnyDVD and it keeps having the same crash, becoming more frequent on subsequent tries.
Tried again and made it partway through scene 7 before the same thing happened again. When I tried to flash DE_flash_HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_BU40N_BU10.bin it gave an error saying flash failed, however, when I checked the drive firmware afterwards, it shows as BU10 and MakeMKV, AnyDVD and DVDFab are able to read the disc.ĭuring scene 6 of the movie, it froze and AnyDVD no longer reports a disc detected. I downloaded the drive flashing tool linked here: Neither MakeMKV, AnyDVD or DVDFab could read it I tested a Spiderman Homecoming UHD Blu Ray my brother has lent me. I installed MakeMKV and a trial of AnyDVD I recently got Hitachi BU40N drive which arrived on firmware FR07
